The "Deer by the Brook" print is designed by one of our co-founders and was born from our ambition to foster self-acceptance and nurture confidence. Read more about the print and design process below.

Deer by the Brook

The print portrays a deer contemplating its reflection beside a gentle brook. Our aim in crafting this artwork is to encapsulate a serene moment of stillness, inviting you to partake in this brief pause and acknowledge your own journey. Through our apparel, we hope to offer a haven for rest and self-reflection.

The deer's reflection serves as a poignant reminder to turn inward for validation and assurance, rather than seeking it from external sources. It prompts the question: What might the deer be pondering as it gazes at its reflection in the water? We aspire for this image to gently guide you towards the path that resonates with your inner self when you most need it.

Inspired by Ukiyo-e

The design is inspired by Ukiyo-e, a traditional Japanese woodblock printing technique.

Its genesis lay in a watercolor rendition, evolving through multiple iterations until the ultimate design was brought to life through rubber carving and stamping with ink.

Much like the design process, the evolution of one’s self undergoes various iterations before becoming who you are today.

Embrace the journey you are on, for the process is endless, similar to the perpetual refinement of a craftsman's skills.
